    I'm looking at purchasing a GPS watch, Suunto Run, to use to be able to upload my routes to Livelox for events I participate in so I can learn from others by comparing their route to my own. 

    Do I need permission to do this? Do I need to be at a specific skill level? 

    I read about Livelox on the Orienteering USA website where they say it is free for OUSA members.

    If you can download a gpx file from your device it can be added to Livelox for an event you run. You can also link certain devices/accounts so that Livelox automatically uploads your track to a specific Livelox activity (Strava, Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Coros). Sign up for a Livelox.com account and look at Help > For Athletes.

    You do not need to be at any experience level, and it's a great learning tool to see how your routes compare to those of others on your course.
