Location and further details are all now on the event page... but I'm pasting below as well. Registration closes on Thursday night.

If you didn't do our Mailbox Madness events earlier this year—they are an informal training series centered on different Philly neighborhoods and suburbs, with a score-o format. We keep cumulative scores across the series. This winter, we'll be doing South Philly, Bustleton (northeast Philly), Rittenhouse, and Media (in the suburbs).

This one will end with holiday lights and a beer, if you're so inclined!

    ***

The map covers an area from South Street to Snyder Avenue north-south and Broad Street to the Delaware River west to east. The start is on the east side of Columbus Square Park, on South 12th Street between Wharton and Reed Streets. The South Philly event is scored out of a possible 410 points. Controls numbered 0-99 are worth 10 points, 100-199 are worth 20, 200-299 are worth 30, and 300-399 are worth 40. There are 36 blue USPS mail collection boxes marked as controls on the map, with one bonus control location; control 201 is the top of a staircase.

Street parking can be challenging to find in South Philly, so please give yourself some extra time if you’re driving. There should be a paid municipal lot at 1339 S. 12th St. If you’re taking SEPTA, the nearest stop is Ellsworth-Federal on the Broad Street line. Do not expect bathrooms.

Uniquely for these Mailbox Madness runs, start and finish are in different locations—we will end at Miracle on S. 13th Street for some holiday lights appreciation. If there is interest, we will also head to Cartesian Brewing for a drink after.

Thanks for hosting.  Sadly I'm out of town for this and the next.  Angelica is in town for the next one I think!
