Topic created by joeymcgarvey on Mon Apr 18, 2022 at 4:20 pmLooks like we should have some warm weather on Sunday! Hope to see you at Willows & Skunk Hollow then.I've added a volunteer sign-up on the event page, but we'd be grateful for anyone who's willing to hang around and help with control pickup. Ian is my co-course setter, but his broken ankle--though improving quickly--means he won't be able to help!

Looks like we should have a warm, pleasant day at Willows & Skunk Hollow this Sunday, as we use this completely redone map for the first time (thanks, Wyatt!). Scale is 5000m and contours are 5m. The vegetation can be pretty dense, but recent visits by Tim and Wyatt suggest that everyone should be able to get into and out of the controls without getting too scratched up. Please note in advance a few off-limits areas: there will be a general wellness event happening at the park on Sunday, so give the mansion a wide berth; the large eastern field and Darby-Paoli Road are also off-limits (and should not be tempting in terms of route selection--both of these will be marked on your map). Orange, Brown, and Green will all have potential fallen log/water crossings, but the courses have been designed to make these optional, so please be safe and use your best judgment. Also pay attention to crossed lines and control placement on the Green map--the out-of-bounds field and smallish area of the park means we've had to use the map in creative ways.
