Calling All E-punch Computer Helpers (Experienced and Aspiring)
-
Topic created by BobF on Fri Feb 4, 2022 at 10:40 amIt seemed like before Covid we had a robust group of people willing and able to help out with the E-punch Computer at our events. However, since the resurgence of events following the Covid lull that task has been unfairly falling on a small number of people. As the ED for the first event of the season I have a selfish interest in finding more people to help out with the computer. If you have experience with working the computer or would like to learn this important volunteer task please respond here, on the Core Creek Volunteer Sign-up Page, or directly to me at Bob_Fink AT Compcast DOT Net.The task of working the computer on the day of the events is now much much simpler since all events are done with Pre-Registration. The list of registered competitors can be pre-entered into the computer so there is no need to handle the stress of registration into the computer while people are waiting in line to get out on the course. The main work is to make sure the computer is set up properly at the beginning of the day, baby-sit the computer while people are downloading their results and then saving the final result date at the end of the day.Hopefully when people realize that much of the stress of this task has been taken away they will be lining up to volunteer. Thanks in advance for all the people that will step up for this.Bob Fink

Reply by kathyu on Fri Feb 4, 2022 at 3:49 pmPut me on the list. I am also available for the packing up of epunch equipment and also driving it around. Best way to catch up with me is to ask via email at k_m_urban@comcast.net. Also 610-888-4367 via text message. Don't bother with voicemail, I never check it. Unfortunately I won't be around for Core Creek, we will be away 2/25 to 3/8.Kathy Urban
