We are again hosting the NJ Scout Championship at Quail Hill Scout Reservation next weekend, and while we expect 150 scouts and an equal amount of JROTC cadets, there's plenty of room in the woods for all of you to join in.  The camp features just about any terrain you could hope for, minus humongous climb or stony ground.

We have a good core staff, but always love anyone attending to offer an hour to relieve a staff member so that they can go run a course themselves.  We could use one more morning instructor, and could especially use someone to relieve Sam at the computer after noon (till he returns to finish the day), because he will be getting antsy to go run our 2 map Red course. (2 back to back maps, because a one map Red course would look like a jumble of pick-up sticks. Tongue out )

Just remember that QH is a 1:5000 scale map, so what looks like a longish leg comes up twice as fast. Surprised And I've reserved the nicest woods for the courses, though that will of course depend on your route choices.

    Course Stats

    White 2.2k   78m    11
    Yellow beg 2.5k   80m    10
Yellow adv 3.1k   75m    11  (the one for members)
    Orange 4.1k  117m   14
    Brown 3.7k    98m    13
    Green 5.3k   130m   16
    Red 7.2k   202m   21

See you in the wilds of central Jersey!
