Well, this weekend looks like perfect July O' weather. If you like it hot and steamy.

Streamers ore out and waiting for controls to be hung. Maps will be printed tonight. Water will be carried into the hills for thirsty runners. etc.

I just checked the volunteer list, thanks Diane for signing up. Lots of positions still open.

We'll be hanging controls early Saturday. If you can't run on Sunday and still want to get out into the forest we could use your help hanging a couple controls.

Course info will be posted to the schedule in the next few minutes.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

On the Facebook event for this the time is listed at 11-12, will starts still be going till 1? I have another event in the morning and was going to be leaving that early to make it here before 1, just want to confirm the normal start window so I don?t leave early for nothing. Was also planning to help with control pickup after I finish.

I think they updated the details further down in the Facebook post.  11-12 is for beginners for the instruction.  Normal start times (10 - 1pm) for orienteerers with expericence.  The Facebook post surprised me, too!

Thanks Kathy, didn?t want to miss too much of the post race festivities if I wasn?t going to make it in time anyway!

The park posted that event (and listed DVOA as a co-host), and all they really cared about was the beginner class, that's why the confusion with the time. So I added that note for non-beginners..
