-
Topic created by Orienteer7 on Tue May 1, 2018 at 10:46 pmBecause of the low turnout for the 1st POC event we will have extra maps for all courses and club members and public can particpate. All courses White through Brown will be the same as the 5/5-5/6 event. Green will be different so if you are unable to make MASOC or want to try another course you can get a chance to run Saturday May 12th at French Creek State Park. Registration, Start and Finish will be located around the pool area at the park. Please note that Registration and Starts will only be from about 11am to Noon. You can register as early as 10am but you will start after the last POC JRROTC starts. In the afternoon (~2pm) there will be a a JR ROTC relay event with 4 legs on 2 different levels. Greg Ahlswede will be doing the finish announcing (weather permitting) and will help to hand out awards to the cadets. These relay courses are simple short courses with level one being white, white, yellow, yellow and Level 2 being yellow, yellow, brown, brown. You can run one of these or make up a team. Cost is $3 per leg. You must let me know if you plan to have a team or run a certain level leg prior to Monday May 6th as there will be no extra maps. (These will be at 1:5,000). Start will be around 2pm and will be located near the playground area at behind the park office. Team entry forms are located at www.dvoa.org and then click on POC logo. Complete the pdf, save and send it to me at orienteer7 at aol dot com.Awards for the morning cross-country POC event and the afternoon Relay event will be at the Relay Start and Finish area near the park office.Questions? email me at the above email address.Mark Frank
