Helpers needed - Mid-Atlantic Champs
-
Topic created by Nancy on Sun Nov 26, 2017 at 10:19 amIn the number of helpers needed, the annual Mid-Atlantic Orienteering Championship falls between a typical local event and a national (A-level) event.Course Setter Ralph Tolbert wanted to set courses in an area of the park we don't usually use, and one of the reasons that the area is seldom used for orienteering is that it requires additional logistics. We need people to direct cars to the appropriate parking area, for instance.
Event Director John Gillette did a good job breaking down the tasks to be done into short shifts, and now we need people to step up and take on those tasks. All volunteers will have the opportunity to run one or both events, if they so desire. Check out the "Volunteer for this event" link on the event schedule page. Please donate a few (about 90) minutes of your time to help make this event a success.John will provide volunteers extra marshmallows for their hot chocolate! -
