Hi, Just registered myself - registration closes tomorrow, Thursday, at 9am. Hope everything aligns and I actually come. (No yoga this year, sorry...unless totally impromptu.)

Here is what I understand the schedule to be (and shared in the latest DVOA newsletter):

Friday Check In will begin 6 pm on Friday at Camp Daddy Allen. Cabins generally have electricity and a frame for a bed. Please make sure no food is brought to any cabins; only at the dining hall. Sunday, all cabins need to be cleaned out/swept out and you need to check in with the Dining Hall to tell them you have cleaned out the cabin and the washroom/shower area.

Saturday Training - Starts at 10AM. Different exercises for beginner, intermediate, or advanced level orienteers, and a short course around the campground available for everybody in the late afternoon.

Saturday Night-O - 7:30pm- 8:30pm starts. Choose Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced, and bring your headlamp! Navigate the course after dark using a headlamp and your map and compass. The darkness adds an extra layer of challenge, making familiar terrain feel completely different and putting a premium on careful navigation and route choice. Course Notes Here

Meal Plan - Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Saturday as well as Breakfast and Lunch will be available Sunday. If you have food allergies/gluten issues, please contact the Registrar to discuss your meal options.

Sunday Courses - 9:00 am to 12:00 noon Starts Standard classic courses with a mix of technical navigation and route choice. Hickory Run is some of our best and most challenging terrain for navigation, so this is not a good park to try running up to an Orange or Advanced course if you don’t usually run at that level. Course Notes Here

    Control Pickup at 2pm

Registration for courses will close at 9 am September 10th.

Day of Registration is available for Sunday at $20.

Thank you to all the volunteers for their incredible efforts in making this happen. High fives!

For anyone just reading this: NOTE new dates. A scheduling mixup with park means this event will be held NEXT weekend, *Sept 18-20*. If you registered and can't make it next weekend, email the treasurer for a refund. See the event on the schedule for more info.
