I would like to thank everyone who attended the DVOA summer meeting and BBQ at Charlestown yesterday.  It was sunny and hot, and definitely felt like summer.  We had some new orienteers both from our area and from Australia.  It is always nice to meet new people who share an interest in orienteering.

The event and BBQ could not have happened without help from DVOA members.  My thanks to event director Mary Frank, to Dave Morgan who cleaned up my courses with on-site field checking, and to Mark Frank for getting the maps printed.

Thanks to Mark and Vadim Masalkov, and Dave Morgan, for picking up controls.

And, both thanks and "welcome back" to John Gillette who helped set up all the stuff, cooked up a bubbling pot of baked beans, and then manned the grill for the dogs and burgers.

On to the summer sprints and then the fall events.
