The DVOA summer meeting and picnic is being held this Sunday, June 14, at Charlestown Park. For anyone who has not been there, Charlestownn is a well-maintained suburban park with lots of soccer fields and open areas. Not much in the way of woods, but still some interesting spots. Personally, I don't understand soccer, and I can't figure out what those big nets are for because no one ever uses them. They just kick a ball back and forth for about an hour, but they seem to enjoy it, so I must be missing something. Some of those fields will be out of bounds, by the way, so please check your maps.
There are three courses: two sprints and a White. Here are the specs:
Course
Length
Controls
Sprint – 1
2.1 km
12
Sprint – 2
2.5 km
12
White
1.6 km
12
Note that climb is not listed as the park is pretty much flat and elevation is not a factor.
In addition to the summer meeting, which will probably be short, there will be a barbeque. I expect there to be hotdogs and hamburgers. Please feel free to bring any additional food items.
We look forrward to seeing you there.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but sprints should be 10-12, picnic/meeting just usually kind of picks up from there

Schedule states starts are from 10-1. It gets to be ad hoc by who is still out. If you just want to come for the meeting I would suggest 1:30 to 2.
