Topic created by MaryFrank on Fri May 2, 2025 at 8:50 amWe are Hosting the 36th Annual Mid Atlantic Scout Orienteering Championships (S-MASOC). The S is in honor of Ed Scott and his family for their hard and dedicated work for over 30 years to make this event a success. We have over 400 registered! Lets all pray the weather (Thundershowers) Holds off on Saturday! Mark and I would like to thank everyone for helping through the years and this year for their hard work and dedication in helping with this event. Our Club works because of all the great volunteers we have.If you would like to volunteer at an event, that would be great. Helping at Registration or picking up controls or even learning the computer that would be amazing. Or if you'd rather try learning how to set courses, join one of the course setters and maybe they can have you learn how on a White and Yellow course while they work on the rest. We are all volunteers.Sunday is a regular event and there are some extra maps. Also, We are being honored with Bob Putnam, who was with our club up until 30 years ago and went and helped Florida's club a success. He is coming up from Florida. Make sure you say hi!See you in the woods!Mary
