Courses have been finalized and sent to the printer. I will post the course info on schedule this week.  Registration for the scout event has closed and we are over 300+ scouts.  Start times will be sent out to the scout leaders on Monday April 24.

We will be setting controls on Friday May 5th for the events on Saturday and Sunday. I would like to have 3-4 (Tim Walsh has already volunteered) volunteers to set controls that Friday (5/5/23) morning at Frencg Creek State Park.   The advance controls are streamered already but there will be no streamers for the easier/beginner controls.  This year we are re-introducing the afternoon score event so placing controls is a little more work as we will place the epunch controls equipment and control and then next to it we will place a post with the pin-punch(es) for the afternoon score event so there is more to carry into the woods.  I would like to not set controls and work on setup of the finish and start and port-o-john delivery if possible.  I would also like to have 2 control setters early Saturday morning to set the beginner controls that should be placed that morning.  Setting could start at 7am.

I am also looking for volunteers to run the event.  Please let me know you plan to help and in what capacity.
You can email me at orienteer7 at aol dot com.  You may have already told me you can help but it would be helpful to just send me an email to remind me.  Also, please let me know what course you plan to go out on Saturday if you plan to do so. These are the same courses for Sunday so you can run Saturday for Sunday or run different courses both days. Remember volunteers run for free on Saturday.  Stay around the the Score-O mass start at 2pm....always fun to observe the enthusiasm from a safe vantage point.

Also, if you have never helped but would like to volunteer just let me know and I will place you with experienced volunteers.   Hope to hear from you soon.

Add Sharon and I to the Saturday helper list. Add me to the Friday hanging list.
