Thank you Mary for a successful A event.  John Gillette was originally responsible for the event.  When John stepped down as president the Back to the Woods event was in jeopardy of being cancelled.  It was Mary Frank who stepped up at a very late date to head the event.  The club then rallied to make sure Back to the Woods would be successful.

I echo Tim's thanks to Mary and all the other volunteers who worked to make the Back to the Woods event a success.  This was not an easy event to conduct - particularly staging 2 races on the same day at 2 separate venues.  But we pulled it off and continued the DVOA tradition of delivering high quality events to the orienteering community.  These national events are very important:  they bring in needed revenue to support mapping, generate enthusiasm and provide an invaluable service to national orienteering.  I'm already looking forward to the Big Woods event in March, 2022!

Words cannot express my appreciation of Mary Frank and all the club members who organized and set courses and did all the tasks that make a successful event!  Thanks to you all.

Concur wholeheartedly. BIG THANKS to Mary for ALL she does for the club, introducing me to orienterring way back when, and always looking after me when I leave something at an event.
