Topic created by Gillettejw on Fri Oct 23, 2020 at 12:50 pmLast evening a number of club members supported the Virtual OUSA Annual General Meeting. As you have seen on a previous post, Sandy Fillebrown was awarded the Silva Award for her selfless service to taking on OUSA Administration as well as the heroic support that she gives to our club and to the community. I would also like to recognize Nate Ohrwaschel for being re-elected to the OUSA board last evening. It impresses me that we have such great representation at the National Level for our club given the fact that there are 66 clubs operating out there as of the meeting last night.I would like to thank the members of our club who supported the meeting last night in a voting, non-voting, or outside capacity:Tom OverbaughMary FrankMark FrankSandy FillebrownNate OhrwaschelHugh MacMullan IVEric WeymanJulie Keim (for SVO)Janet Tryson (for CYNO)This was my first AGM and it was an eye opening experience. Thank you to the participants for their time and I look forward to seeing everyone out in the woods on November 1st!RegardsJohn

Reply by JanetT on Fri Oct 23, 2020 at 1:31 pmCongrats, Nate, and thank you for your continuing service on the OUSA board!
Sandy has been rightly recognized for her continued service through the years in support of orienteering in the US and the organizations that put on events.
For the record, I'm am a dual EMPO/DVOA member; never been a member of CNYO. ;-) I was on the call as part of the credentials committee, making sure everyone who was a delegate was in attendance and knew how many votes they had.
Great to know so many DVOA members were there and listening!
