Hi DVOA members, Just a short report about this NJ shore 4 Mile Circle map in the Old Lebanon State Forest (older members remember this as ts original Non Governor renamed site  (feel the burn)).  It was again a class act, with a revised map with sections remapped by Bob B.  The terrain for those not attending yesterday is a subtle flat Piney forest with occassional gullies or trails, not much climb.  the trees are about 2 to 4 to 5 inches in diameter with the occassional larger tree, and plenty of small seedlings always fighting to fill in gaps of any fallen tree trunks, and rootstocks are rare.  Undergrowth is a 2 to 3 foot tall bush undergrowth, leafless at this season, and was dominate in about 75% of the uncleared forest. but in one wide 2 minute across section, it was all gone and made for easy running but for the 2 inch branch/slash (flash/slash is the unprofitable by product of the tree harvesters from about 3 years or so ago that the sawyers tried to saw up but was rejected as waste for DVOA runners 2 now trip over). So the bottom line was even if you are fit or fast in a normal DVOA map run, the literal swimming action of your run thru the 4 mile undergrowth would tucker out all but the top runner in the club.  Think of the Doctor Who?  scene with the  13th doctors "Hand Mines" grabing your limbs as you jogged thru.   So I liked the challenge, and did a  harder (4me)  Green course after standing about the Cold roadside Registration area with Sam and Lena and Kathy and Mary frank, amoung others.  Again, Kudos to Bob Burg as I saw a record crowd and I did see at least 3 Teams of Yellow youth runners who were so into the - O running Game, they tried Orange course for the first time and as I see there NC (non Comped) results, they did rather well for first timers passing past Yellow C to harder OJ course challenges.  Keep up the good work and maps, Mr. Bob Burg (he hates when I call him that)  LOL
