The American Swedish Museum in Philadelphia is featuring Bjorn Kjellstrom and his connection to Orienteering in the US. We are hosting a sprint on the property on May 15.  They are also offering a Boy Scout program & course on May 19.  Details on their program should be posted at  [https://www.americanswedish.org/exhibitions/outdoor-adventures-navigating-nordic-way] soon.

Wednesday May 15 -- Celebrate World Orienteering Day and the Swedish origin of our sport!  Enjoy Orienteering from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in FDR Park adjacent to the American Swedish Historical Museum.

Sunday May 19 -- Scouts will get some orienteering education before setting off to complete their course.  Time is from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.  There was a time adjustment because of a wedding at the Museum.

FDR Park and the Swedish Museum are located on Pattison Avenue in Philly, very close to the sports complex.  The park is diverse and interesting, with a museum, golf course, skate park, lakes and monumental boat house.

World Orienteering Day is a great reason to get out of work early and step out of your geographic comfort zone.  Join orienteers around the world to celebrate our sport!

Who is responsible for organizing these events?  I'd be available to help in whatever capacity for these events.
