ED/CS Notes:

Set in the rolling hills of central NJ, Quail Hill features all sorts of terrain – wonderful open woods, complicated green areas to navigate through and around, low lying seasonal wet areas, plenty of open lawns, an intricate trail system, at least 100 new rootstocks that Sandy took down in 2012, all surrounding historic Quail Hill on top of which the central camp is located. And being such a compact property, it was mapped at 1:5000 scale with 2.5m contour intervals.

Given all the recent changes, Bob B has done extensive revision of the map in preparation for this event.  So we invite you to come out and share the woods with enthusiastic Scouts and JROTC cadets who will be attending.  As an added bonus, we promise no snow, maybe even a sunny day in the 40’s if long range forecasts hold up.  And this year, we are setting up Registration at (in comparison to our normal staging area) a palatial pavilion right near the archery range.  (Do remember that we will be collecting $1 extra to cover the fee the camp charges for each individual competitor.)
