ED/CS Notes:
We will be at the extreme Western edge of the original Hickory Run 1:15000 map done for the 1988 North American Champs. Only a few copies remain from that printing so this is our last opportunity to run on this classic map. In my experience it has aged well and can be trusted. Any major problems will be highlighted at Registration.
Don't confuse this area with the intricate laurel covered areas around Daddy Allen. The advanced courses here will cross terrain more like the old French Creek West with relatively open woods and large areas of subtile contours. Rob will have more specific course data after the coming weekend, but I suspect Orange and above will have a creek crossing or two. For most people the "attack point" for the registration area will be Rt 534 at Exit 274 of I80. Go South from that point about a half mile. There will be signs.
