Two courses, each ~2.0 - 2.5 km and suitable for beginners
$10 for one course, $15 for two; all proceeds benefit the US Orienteering Team

This week's Wednesday event is at Ft. Washington State Park. We'll be using the big new pavilion for registration with start and finish close by. There are restrooms next to the parking area.
Courses this week were designed by DVOA's Greg Ahlswede as a small thank you for the series supporting the US Team. Greg is currently living and training in Europe - which is why we haven't seen much of him recently at DVOA events. It paid off for him with a great result just recently at the World Championships in the long distance event. He says that knowing people in the US are cheering for him and supporting the team makes a big difference.
Both courses cross the park road and parking lots at least twice so please use caution when driving into the park and in the parking lots and also while running your courses. They do cross along straight sections at angles and you should have good visibility (whether driving or running) but please be careful.
The park just installed a 9-hole frisbee golf course - making a new trail maze that Greg exploited when designing the courses. He also used loops in his course design so you'll be visiting the same control more than once on a course. Pay close attention to which way you go around these loops and, as always, be sure to check control codes!
