We welcome all of you to ideal weather forecast for this Sunday, sunny and mid 60's, perfect to shake off your cabin fever and come join us in the unique beauty of the NJ Pinelands. "Pakim Pond" is one of DVOA's most storied (and earliest) maps. And we will be using the Four Mile Circle portion near the Fire Tower at the Main Entrance -- rustic accommodations among pine needles and gently rolling terrain.
The undergrowth is only budding, some Mt Laurel may have its first Spring blossoms, and for added adventure, the areas we're using for courses are NEWLY REVISED On your course, you will visit terrain you've never seen before, often finding features never mapped before. The mapper/course setter can't wait to hear your adventures when you come in. And we promise to keep your climb to double figures, mostly low double figures.
So come renew (or jump start) your love for this wonderful venue. We welcome any assistance, 1 or 2 hours. Arrive early to help with start of day, then go run your course. Or come run/walk a course, then relieve the morning crew. No experience needed, only a warm smile and helping hands. And as a bonus, volunteers get to run their course for free. The course stats are still tentative. With last minute revision updates, the courses will only get more interesting, but basically the same lengths and climb.
