ED/CS Notes:

Once again it is time to show HVO who is boss around here. We are showcasing one of our more technical maps, so we need everyone to come out and prove how it should be done. Petr has done an excellent job of limiting climb. By starting at the high point and circling the peaks, he has found a way for the upper courses to visit most of the map. Although the Halloween snowstorm caused extensive damage to the trees, we have cleared the trails for the lower courses, allowing for some interesting running while you are looking for your attack points. I know that you will have had enough turkey by now, so let's get out and prepare for those fattening Holiday goodies that are waiting for us.

Please change your directions to:

From New Jersey and Easton:

  • I78 to PA 412. Go straight at bottom of ramp on to Silvex Road, between the Wendy's and the Turkey Hill. Take 2cd left on to College Drive. At end of College Drive turn right on to South Mountain Drive. At top of hill bear left on to Mountain Drive. Turn left into park across from former TV station.

From Allentown and Exit 56 of the PA turnpike:

  • I78 to PA 412. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and go under I78. Turn left on to Silvex Road, between the Wendy's and the Turkey Hill. Take 2cd left on to College Drive. At end of College Drive turn right on to South Mountain Drive. At top of hill bear left on to Mountain Drive. Turn left into park across from former TV station.

Dual event scoring system.

Two year ago in 2009 at Quail Hill DVOA introduced an updated scoring system which we are planning to use again. Please note it's a bit different from what system was used in the past years and what HVO continue to use.

  • Points are assigned on each course for the top 6 men and top 6 women regardless of club plus the top 3 groups on White and Yellow.
  • 1 through 6 points are assigned: 6pt for 1st, 5pt for 2nd, and so on.
  • To figure in the results, your club has to be with the e-punch registrar.
