Welcome to Orienteering
Orienteering is an outdoor navigation sport. Participants use a map and compass to find check points along a mapped course. Itβs a sport for any age; beginners are always welcome and we provide instruction at all events. Come out and join us!

News from our Facebook Page
Over 20 people braved the still falling snow for the Carmen San DeigO style orienteering event this past Sunday - with a novel choose-your-own-adventure style course designed by Ian Whitehead!![]()
Participants sought the control True North of them, the most downstream bridge, depressions meeting various criteria, a hill with a view of nearby buildings, and more, as they puzzled through clues.![]()
In a strong puzzle-solving style, Sam Kolins figured out the right route, with fewer mistakes, to win the day - with Sergei Ryzhkov moving faster, but covering significantly more ground, to place 2nd. Petr took 3rd, rapidly followed by the pair of Zachary & Alyssa, then many others, including scouts, a junior orienteer, and 2 toddlers in dragon suits π![]()
Thanks also to Nikolay Frolenko for building a fire for us all to keep warm at the registration shelter, on this wintry day!
